Summary
The famous (sometimes infamous) Geylang district has the highest concentration of religious organisations in Singapore and is the unofficial red-light area of Singapore. Flanked by 2 rivers, it was originally a Malay community but it now play host to new migrant communities.
At the wee hours of the morning while the rest of Singapore sleeps, this is the only place that still has traffic jams. The word Geylang may mean factory or farm or even the name of a Malay tribe but to Singaporeans, it means great food all times of the day and night.
Let’s explore this colourful neighbourhood of how it exists to feed our mind, souls and bodies.

Our Reviews
"The loquacious guide not only gabs about local cuisine, but dishes out on topics from heritage to politics, elevating his tour beyond sating fleshly pleasures."
Business Times, 2011
"Tony was an awesome tour guide! We ate our way through Singapore's red light district while learning the history from our knowledgeable guide. He did our ordering and he did not disappoint. We tried so many different dishes that I would have never known to order. We learned the history and origins of the dish and got some insight on how it was prepared. We were also able to sample many drinks and even a few deserts! We left with full bellies and a new appreciation for this amazingly diverse place!"

"It was top notch. Tony did an amazing job of giving us history, food, culture, and more. It was eye opening to walk through the "red light" district of Singapore. Honestly you get way more than your money's worth. Just the food you get to try is worth more than the 50 dollar price tag. I highly recommend this tour!"

"If you want to see the Real Singapore beyond the glitzy shopping malls, this tour is for you. You eat and walk your way through the Geylang district while learning a great deal about the history and life in this district today. One of the legal areas for prostitution is in this district as well as the many temples in the area. Hence the name "Sins and Salvation". A thoroughly interesting evening and Tony goes above and beyond what we normally get in a tour. I would take any tour this company offers!"

"The 'Sins & Salvation' tour manages to shed light on bits of history and society that I did not know even as a Singaporean! Tony is a friendly and very experienced guide: He knows how to cater to the different interests of participants while making sure we got to see the "less beaten paths" of Singapore. All in all, it was a very enjoyable Friday evening. Well-done!"

"This is an amazing excellent value tour of a district of Singapore that I suspect not a lot of tourists get to. It is an eye opening and stomach filling look at some of the naughtier and less well known corners of this country far away from the sales on Orchard Road and it is FANTASTIC ! Tony is an excellent host, respectful of both his guests and the people living , working and worshipping in the Geylang neighbourhoods. this tour gives you an excellent insight into a Singapore that existed long before the Singapore that exists today - it develops in you an understanding of what life is like for the large migrant worker population who live and work here too. Thank you Tony for your wisdom, your generosity, your good humour and your hospitality! I highly recommend this tour."
